Cao, Yuan

About this character

At the age of six, he picked up a sickle from the ground, triggering a catastrophic surge of his "Forbidden Domain" power that slaughtered all 172 villagers. After being detained at the police station, he used a pair of nail clippers to kill everyone there—claiming another 161 lives. In total, he bears the burden of 333 innocent deaths. He was later spared through the intervention of the Commander-in-Chief of the Night Watchers and sent to Mount Jiuhua for seven years of quiet cultivation. Under the guidance of the Great Master Jinchan, he set out for Cangnan to seek a benefactor who could help him atone for his sins. He has a penchant for married women, earning him the nickname "Cao Zei" (a reference to the historical figure Cao Cao, known for his lust for others' wives). He possesses the Forbidden Domain ability ranked No. 031, "Black King's Annihilation" (Heiwang Zhanmie)—a power described as standing "above all living beings, yet below the gods." While immensely powerful, it is extremely prone to spiraling out of control; he cannot activate it at will, as it triggers passively only upon physical contact with a bladed weapon.
