Vollachia, Eugard

About this character

Eugard Vollachia was the sixty-first emperor of the Sacred Vollachia Empire from 300 years before the main story. He ruled the Empire with the village girl Iris by his side. However, after a "betrayal", Iris was killed. In his grief, he cast the Soul Marriage Curse on Iris's soul, making it so that she would reincarnate with her memories over and over. Their story was later immortalized as the famed Vollachian story, Iris and the King of Thorns. (Source: Re:Zero Wiki)
