Hakurei

About this character

The shrine maiden of the Hakurei Shrine over 100 years ago and the ancestor of protagonist Reimu Hakurei. [Spoiler] She was originally Mizuchi Miyadeguchi's partner, but ended up sealing her when Mizuchi became a youkai. According to the Jailbreak King, her grudge against the Hakurei clan and Gensokyo as a whole was due to the Hakurei shrine maiden using the Miyadeguchi family - who had long been loyal to the Hakureis - as a scapegoat to justify banning youkai and humans from killing each other, which Mizuchi claims defeats her and the Hakureis' purpose as youkai exterminators.
