Wekapipo's Brother-In-Law
About this character
The nobleman Wekapipo's sister married, who Wekapipo considered as a friend from his line of work. He was the son of a wealthy financial commissioner. He was regularly beating his wife and rendered her blind, prompting Wekapipo to ask the pope to annul the marriage, which the church approved of. [Spoiler] Wekapipo then begged his brother-in-law to divorce his sister but was beaten up by the man's scabbard. Humiliated, the man challenged Wekapipo to a duel using Steel Balls and was killed.
